Profile

Conceptualizing Environments Through the Lens of Engineering and Technology

I am a computational design engineer. I embed technology into environmental systems—mostly “(wild) water”—and urban systems.

As a computational strategist at Sherwood Design Engineers, I initiated the computational practice with leadership support in 2023. The practice subsequently grew into a team of four. My proudest professional work includes Middle East territorial infrastructure masterplanning projects, Detroit neighborhood planning initiatives, and AI-for-AEC sponsored research. Other experience includes work with inventive design firms and research institutions such as Interboro Partners, SOM, SWA Group, URBANGENE, Zhuyufan Studio at Tsinghua University, and the Shanghai Study Center of the University of Hong Kong.

My academic background spans landscape architecture at Harvard Graduate School of Design and ongoing computer science studies through the MCIT program at the University of Pennsylvania. While at Harvard, I also cross-registered at the MIT Media Lab and EECS for an IoT shoreline idea during my studies. I earned my Bachelor of Engineering from Southeast University’s School of Architecture in China.

This website primarily features work from my undergraduate studies and my time at Harvard GSD (2015–2022), along with a couple of more recent pieces in the Writing section.
